This Glossary is meant to offer the students support for learning key textile terms of the 6 educational modules in all the languages of the project.
LANGUAGE	TERM	Vlákno PAN
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	PAN je zkratka pro polyakrylonitril, takže vlákno PAN je vlákno vytvorené z této syntetické semikrystalické organické polymerní pryskyrice ((C3H3N)n). Jedná se o termoplast, který však degraduje ješte pred roztavením. PAN vlákna jsou chemickým prekurzorem velmi kvalitních uhlíkových vláken. Za tímto úcelem se PAN nejprve tepelne oxiduje za vzniku PANOX (oxidované PAN vlákno) a poté se karbonizuje pri teplote nad 1000 °C v inertní atmosfére.
