A vector graphic is a type of image file. In a vector graphic file however, all elements are made up of mathematical constructs: circle, line, Bezier curve, rectangle. Due to this, a vector graphic file can be zoomed without artifacts arising, as opposed to a bitmap (raster graphics), which has a limited resolution.
