This Glossary is meant to offer the students support for learning key textile terms of the 6 educational modules in all the languages of the project.
LANGUAGE	TERM	physical process
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	Represents a set of activities in a certain sequence meant to produce an outcome. Process may be of different types and implemented in various domains, such as: manufacturing, industrial, technical or technological. In case of experimental design, a physical process applies a design plan to reduce the number of experimental runs and to get maximum insight on collected data. A physical (textile) process under study includes some measurable quantities, used as input parameters and result variables. The input parameters with most relevance on the process are determined by screening analysis. The relation between input parameters and result variable is deducted by a polynomic equation, further enabling optimization of the process.
