This Glossary is meant to offer the students support for learning key textile terms of the 6 educational modules in all the languages of the project.
LANGUAGE	TERM	PAN-vezel
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	PAN staat voor polyacrylonitril, dus PAN-vezel is een vezel die is gemaakt van deze synthetische, semikristallijne organische polymeerhars ((C3H3N)n). Het is een thermoplast, maar degradeert voordat het smelt. PAN-vezels zijn de chemische voorloper van zeer hoogwaardige koolstofvezel. Hiervoor wordt PAN eerst thermisch geoxideerd tot PANOX (geoxideerde PAN-vezel) en vervolgens verkoold boven 1000 ?C in een inerte atmosfeer.
