LANGUAGE	TERM	Rapierweefgetouw
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	Een rapierweefgetouw of grijperweefgetouw is een schietspoelloos weefgetouw. De inslaggarens (vulgarens) worden door de gaap gedragen door vingerachtige dragers, rapiers genaamd, die het garen van de ene kant naar de andere brengen (vaak twee rapiers, met een overdracht van het garen in het midden). Rapierweefgetouwen worden gebruikt voor veel technische en nieuwe garens zoals bandgarens, omdat deze garens moeilijk te weven zijn met andere weefgetouwen.
