This Glossary is meant to offer the students support for learning key textile terms of the 6 educational modules in all the languages of the project.
LANGUAGE	TERM	TRL - Technology Readiness Level of Technologiegereed- heidsniveau
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	Oorspronkelijk ontwikkeld door NASA in de jaren 70 voor ruimteverkenningstechnologieen, is TRL een type meetsysteem dat wordt gebruikt om het volwassenheidsniveau van een bepaalde technologie te beoordelen. Elk technologieproject wordt beoordeeld aan de hand van de parameters voor elk technologieniveau en krijgt vervolgens een TRL-classificatie toegewezen op basis van de voortgang van het project. Er zijn negen technologiegereedheidsniveaus. TRL 1 is de laagste en TRL 9 is de hoogste. (in https://www.nasa.gov/directorates/heo/scan/engineering/technology/technology_readiness_level ). Veel organisaties hebben TRL"s voor hun eigen doeleinden ge?mplementeerd, waarbij bepaalde organisaties, zoals de Europese Unie (EU), de NASA-TRL verder normaliseren, waardoor ze gemakkelijker kunnen worden vertaald naar meerdere industriele sectoren - niet alleen ruimteverkenning.
