This Glossary is meant to offer the students support for learning key textile terms of the 6 educational modules in all the languages of the project.
LANGUAGE	TERM	Fibra PAN
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	PAN refere-se a poliacrilonitrila, pelo que a fibra PAN é uma fibra criada a partir desta resina de polímero orgânico semi-cristalina ((C3H3N)n). É um termoplástico, mas degrada-se antes de derreter. As fibras PAN são o precursor químico da fibra de carbono de alta qualidade. Para isso, a PAN é primeiro oxidada termicamente para formar PANOX (fibra PAN oxidada), e depois carbonizada acima de 1000°C em atmosfera inerte.
