LANGUAGE	TERM	Spin-off Universitária
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	Uma spin-off universitária ou académica é uma empresa fundada por investigadores para melhorar os resultados da sua própria atividade de investigação e conhecimento científico, na qual a Universidade pode ser parceira. Os investigadores, como parceiros, partilham os lucros. Do ponto de vista jurídico, uma empresa derivada não é diferente de uma empresa comercial comum. A particularidade das spin-offs reside no facto de serem promovidas, criadas e desenvolvidas por uma ou mais pessoas que têm uma relação próxima com o mundo da investigação e utilizam o know-how desenvolvido dentro das organizações de investigação na sua atividade empresarial.
