EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	Un spin-off universitar este o afacere fondata de cercetatori pentru a imbunatati rezultatele propriei activitati de cercetare si cunostinte stiintifice, in care Universitatea poate fi partener. Cercetatorii, in calitate de parteneri, impart profiturile. Din punct de vedere juridic,u spin-off nu este diferit de o intreprindere comerciala obisnuita. Particularitatea spin-off-urilor consta in faptul ca sunt promovate, create si dezvoltate de una sau mai multe persoane care au o relatie stransa cu lumea cercetarii si folosesc know-how-ul dezvoltat in cadrul organizatiilor de cercetare in activitatea lor de afaceri.
