This Glossary is meant to offer the students support for learning key textile terms of the 6 educational modules in all the languages of the project.
LANGUAGE	TERM	PAN vlakna
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	PAN je kratica za poliakrilonitril. PAN vlakna so izdelana iz te sinteticne polkristalne organske polimerne smole ((C3H3N)n). To je termoplast, ki se razgradi pred taljenjem. Vlakna PAN so kemicni predhodnik zelo zmogljivih ogljikovih vlaken. V ta namen se PAN najprej termicno oksidira, da nastane PANOX (oksidirana vlakna PAN), nato pa se v inertni atmosferi karbonizira pri temperaturi nad 1000 ?C.
