DEFINITION | Technology watch is assumed as a strategic activity for innovation. The technological surveillance activities allow the identification of opportunities for the development of winning R&D projects and the fruitful production of innovation. It consists of an organised, selective and permanent process of capturing information, from the outside and from the organisation itself, on science and technology, selecting, analysing, disseminating and communicating it, to convert it into knowledge to make decisions with less risk and to be able to anticipate changes. It allows systematic observation of the environment in relation to existing technology in the market, emerging technologies and trends or technological advances. |
