In order to simulate how fabrics behave, analysis software is used. A part is created, and this part will be meshed, before starting the analysis. However, what has to be computed? In order to define this, boundary conditions must be given, which describe what happens around the fabric. So these conditions will be constrains, limiting what is possible, called boundary conditions. Typically examples are: Part of the boundary is kept fixed, so cannot move; Part of the boundary can rotate around an axis; Part of the boundary is isolated, so no heat can flow through it.
