This Glossary is meant to offer the students support for learning key textile terms of the 6 educational modules in all the languages of the project.
LANGUAGE	TERM	Shaping segment
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	The shaping segments (fashioning lines) can be defined as the zones where the knitting will be carried out on a variable number of needles, these zones generating the spatial geometry. In this case, two operations must be performed: increasing and decreasing the number of operating needles (widening and narrowing). All stitches are held to be reintroduced and knitted at a later stage.
