 DEFINITIONTopografie se zabývá tvarem a charakterem zemského povrchu. Použití fotografií k tvorbe topografických map poprvé navrhl francouzský geodet Dominique F. Arago kolem roku 1840. Dnes se topografické mapování používá také pro návrh 3D modelu lidského tela.
