OptimTex multilingual glossary of terms
This Glossary is meant to offer the students support for learning key textile terms of the 6 educational modules in all the languages of the project.
LANGUAGE	TERM	Bindsteken/ vastbinden/ afbinden
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	Bind- of hechtsteken zijn extra steken die worden toegevoegd voor een begin (inbinden) en het einde ( afhechten) van borduurelementen. Hun doel is om de draad op zijn plaats te vergrendelen en te voorkomen dat deze eruit trekt wanneer de machine begint te naaien of af te knippen (draad afsnijden). Het moet worden gebruikt aan het einde van elk element in uw ontwerp waar sprongsteken zullen volgen, zoals een kleurverandering of het einde van een ontwerp. Door striksteken op de juiste manier voor het ontwerp in te stellen, blijft het ontwerp soepel lopen en blijft het in de stof na het wassen.
