This Glossary is meant to offer the students support for learning key textile terms of the 6 educational modules in all the languages of the project.
LANGUAGE	TERM	LED
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	Dioda (LED) je polovodicové zarízení, které po pripojení ke stejnosmernému zdroji energie vyzaruje viditelné svetlo. Toto svetlo vzniká vyzarováním energie pocházející z elektronu uvolnených pri rekombinaci s donory. Vzhledem k polovodicové strukture má LED dioda anodový a katodový pól. Proto je treba dodržet správnou polaritu napetí (anoda +, katoda -). LED diody se vyznacují úbytkem napetí. Úbytek napetí se liší podle ruzných barev LED a pohybuje se v rozmezí 1,5-3,5 V. Na základe materiálu diody má vyzarované svetlo urcitou vlnovou délku, a tím i urcitou barvu.
