This Glossary is meant to offer the students support for learning key textile terms of the 6 educational modules in all the languages of the project.
LANGUAGE	TERM	IDE
EN CZ NL PT RO SI	DEFINITION	Interdigitale elektroden (IDE's) zijn geleidende parallelle structuren die worden gebruikt als transducers in verschillende technologische en analytische toepassingen, vooral op het gebied van biologische en chemische sensoren. Ze kunnen ook worden gebruikt als een detectie-element voor het detecteren van waterlekkage. In ons specifieke geval bestaan de IDE's uit twee lange parallelle geleidende garens met een smalle opening ertussen. Hoe langer parallelle geleidende draden en hoe smaller de spleet, hoe hoger de gevoeligheid van de sensor.
