Sania cu lacate (caruciorul, sania port-came) are o miscare rectilinie alternativa, actionand acele pentru a tricota ochiuri normale, bucle sau pentru a transfera ochiurile.
Ea cuprinde doua placi cu came de actionare pentru fonturile fata ?i spate.
Antrenarea caruciorului se executa cu motoare rotative pas cu pas si, astfel, cursa caruciorului este variabila, in corelatie cu latimea de tricotare la un moment dat, eliminand deplasarile inutile ale caruciorului.
