DEFINITIONOutline stitch is a basic embroidery stitch that is commonly used for outlining objects. This simple stitch creates a smooth, twisted rope-like line perfect for curves, circles, or any shape that you want to highlight with an outline. Running stitches, mostly used for stitching lines, outlines and fine detail. Satin stitches are used to stitch wider lines and so-called columns (narrow areas). Typically, a dense zigzag stitch is used. A satin stitch is normally anywhere from 2 mm to 12 mm. Can be laid down at any angle and with varying stitch lengths.
