 DEFINITIONKratek stik se nanasa na posebno stanje, v katerem elektrika zaide zunaj ustaljene poti elektricnega tokokroga. Pretok elektricnega toka je omejen le z elektricnim uporom samega prevodnika. Posledica tega je napacno delovanje elektricnega tokokroga, prekomerno segrevanje in morebiti unicenje vezja. V primeru vezenih vezij je lahko kratek stik posledica: (i) nanasanja velike kolicine prevodnega lepila na kontaktne blazinice, zlasti z majhno izolacijsko rezo; (ii) napacne geometrije vzorca (razdalja vzporednih crt ali kontaktnih blazinic manj kot 2 mm) in (iii) nezadostno odrezanega prevodnega sukanca med kontaktnimi blazinicami v obmocju izolacijske reze.
